i) Formation of students’ council

As per University Resolution No. Pradhikaran -2(139)/5490/2002, dated 23.09.2002, the Students’ Council of this college is formed every academic year at the beginning. The Associate Dean, nominates the students’ representative having the highest CGPA/merit and they are elected as representative for various committees.

The first ranked student from 3rd year Students’ is nominated as a chairman of Students’ Council.

iii) Organization of seminar on “Career Opportunities in Agriculture Education”: Every year “Agricultural Education Day” was celebrated for creating awareness and highlight the scope for students in agricultural profession, after HSC and for building strong agricultural base.

iv) Guidance to students for career building in agriculture : Students are guided for developing career in agricultural fields through experts.

v) Insurance coverage to students

Every under graduate and post graduate student of this college are insured for his life through students’ safety insurance policy (Rs. 100/year). Terms and Conditions of Policy

Premium per student :- Rs.85/- + Service Tax 15% = Rs. 98/-

Sum Insured :- Rs. 1,00,000/-

Insurance coverage :- a) Accidental Death- 100% Sum Insured

b) Hospitalization towards accidental injury

only-10% of Sum Insured. i.e upto Rs.

10,000/- or actual expenses whichever is less

  • Earn while Learn Scheme:

Economic support to the students who belongs to economical weaker background is given by ” Earn While Learn Scheme”. Under this scheme a student can work maximum 4 hrs./day ( 20 hrs/week, 80 hrs./month).

  • Placement Cell:

    Cell is being organized the campus interviews of Banks, Fertilizer, Seed & Pesticide companies in the college during every academic year

  • Cultural Activities :

    College having separate cultural hall with sufficient musical instruments for practice. Students are participates in the inter collegiate/Inter University cultural events viz., Youth festival, Indradhanusha, Agriunifest etc.

  • Organization of social activities :

    The students are guided for organization of Ganesh utsav, Shijayanti, Teachers Day,Makar Sankrant ,Tree plantation etc.

  • Annual prize distribution programme :

    The academic rank holders are honored by awarding cash prize with medals and the students who have secured first/second position in the inter collegiate sports / cultural events or participated in inter university tournaments are being felicitated by offering trophy and certificate during annual prize distribution function.

vi) Deputing Students to attend Training/Symposia/Workshop programmes etc.

  • Five students were participated in “Shodhana-2017” held at National Institute of Rural Development Rajendra Nagar Hyderabad on 7th – 8th July, 2017

  • Five girl students were participated in Swayamsiddha Yuwati Sammelan held at Agricultural Development Trust, Baramati during 6th – 9th December, 2017

  • Three students have attended Rastriy chhatra sansad,MIT,Pune

vii) MOUs with other Institute : Memorandum of Understanding between Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, College of Agriculture, Pune and East West Seed India Private Limited, Aurangabad was made for Promoting theagricultural studies and support the Farmer’s children by providing financial support to pursue higher education {B.Sc.(Agri.)} on 10th Nov. 2017.

With benefit of this MOU two students awarded Simon N. Groot Scholarship from East West Seed India Private Limited, Aurangabad of Rs. 50,000/- per year for the year 2017-18.
